Whether you have suffered a deep cut or laceration, our highly trained GPs Are here to help to assess your injury and assess the best and safest course of action. In some cases, we will advise further assessment in an Emergency Department or Minor Injury Unit, and when safe to do so, we will suture or repair the injury
At our medical centre, we provide both interrupted and continuous suturing techniques, depending on the nature and location of the wound. Interrupted sutures involve individual stitches that are placed in a straight line to close the wound, while continuous sutures involve a single thread that is used to stitch the wound in a continuous loop.
Our team of GPs are also experienced in the removal of sutures, ensuring they are removed properly and without any complications. Suture removal is a quick and simple procedure that involves removing the stitches once the wound has healed enough to remain closed without help. Our GPs will check the wound, clean the area and remove the stitches carefully, ensuring that the wound does not reopen or become infected.
At Bath Avenue Medical Centre, we pride ourselves on providing Personal Professional Care to all of our patients. Our GPs take the time to assess your wound and recommend the best course of action for your specific case. We also offer advice on wound care and aftercare to help you maintain proper healing and prevent infection.
Our suturing and suture removal assessment services are available at an affordable rate of €70 per consultation. Following assessment, we will be happy to advise regarding options for further treatment. We believe that quality medical care should be accessible to everyone, and our pricing reflects this commitment to our patients.
